Films and series, right where you left off.

Showvee turns the films and series in your playlist into rows of posters you browse with the remote. It fills in the details, and remembers the minute you stopped.

Showvee’s home screen on a TV: the live preview and shortcuts, with Continue watching below them

Carry on from any screen

Start a film tonight and finish it tomorrow. Wherever you find it again, Showvee knows how far you got.

  • On the home screen

Continue watching sits right under the shortcuts, with the episode you’re on. It shows once you switch on Settings › Live TV › Show watch history.

  • In Movies

A Continue watching category keeps what you started, with the time to resume from.

  • On the film’s page

Resume starts at the minute you stopped. Start over goes back to the beginning.

  • In the player

The film picks up where you left it, with the time bar showing how much is left.

  • In Series

The series you’re watching says which episode is next: here, Continue S1 E2.

Posters first, with the details on top

Movies and Series each open on a wall of posters. Move along it with the remote and the title you’re on fills the top of the screen, with Resume 5:27 for a film you started or Continue S1 E2 for a series.

  • Favourites, Continue watching, History and Recently added, then your provider’s own categories
  • Recently added films and series on the home screen too, as rows of posters
  • Search finds films and series in all your playlists at once
  • Search filters: a minimum rating (IMDb for films, TVmaze for series), year, category, and newest or highest rated first

Details

Every film page filled in

Many providers send a title and a poster, and little else. When the plot, cast or ratings are missing, Showvee looks the film up at Wikipedia and Wikidata, straight from your TV, and credits them on the page. You can switch this off in Settings › Playlists.

  • Plot, director, cast, ratings and a trailer, when those sites have them
  • Resume, Start over and Favourite on every page
  • Subtitles from your provider, or found online when a film has none

Series

Series that know what’s next

Seasons and episodes in order, with a bar on every episode you started. The big button does the sensible thing: here it resumes episode 2 at 0:44, and once an episode is done it starts the next one. Near the end of a longer episode, an Up next card lines up the next one.

  • Episode names from TVmaze, or Wikipedia, when your provider only sends numbers or dates
  • Jump to any season or episode, or play them in reverse order

A general comparison of features by kind of app, not of any particular product: other apps differ from one version to the next. Showvee, like any player, comes with no channels or other content.

From the service you already have

Films and series come from your Xtream Codes login or MAG portal, or from an M3U playlist that lists them. Showvee comes with none of its own.

Three new titles a day, free

The free version starts three new films or series a day, and carrying on with one you started never counts. Premium has no daily limit.

Showvee is a player only. It contains no channels or other content. Use it only with content you have the right to watch.
